We're Paying it Forward!

Philanthropy has always been close to my heart. There’s so much personal value in giving back to your local community. This year we’ve partnered with a couple of non-profit organizations and most recently we’ve partnered with Fairy Goodmothers. We’re so proud to sponsor Fairy Goodmothers this year for the very first time. Here’s some information on this organization and their worthy cause:

Fairy Goodmothers is a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and enhancing the self-esteem of high school girls in central Ohio. We achieve this by providing the gift of a prom dress to any high school girl who lacks the means with which to acquire her own. It is our vision that our annual Cinderella's Closet Boutique will be the magic venue for every girl in need of a dress for her prom.

Distinct Event Planning, LLC and FleurGirl, LLC partnered together to create and donate 100 corsages to Fairy Goodmothers for this upcoming prom season. In addition to our donation we also volunteered as Personal Shoppers and helped some of our local teen girls find the perfect prom dress. We fitted several girls into some of the most gorgeous gowns you’ve ever seen. The room was a buzz as we all ran around servicing each girl with a big smile and so much enthusiasm. Then off they went to continue shopping to pick out their shoes, purses, accessories and of course corsages.  By the afternoon, the corsages were all gone!

On the first day Fairy Goodmothers reported that they gave away over 400 dresses!! Here’s a link to the interview by on of the board member, Jill Fergus, on WTT8 Fox Good Day Columbus. Take a close look at the models…they’re wearing our corsages! We want to personally thank all of the board members of Fairy Goodmothers for allowing us to partner with them to help make these girls’ proms a memorable event!
